It's not just ectos that have been driven up by RR day. Take a look at shards, rubies and sapphires and you will see the upward movement there as well. People selling zkeys run out of room for cash, simple as that.

The people who farm the zkeys, the new players, who want to look cool, buy shards/ectos/god knows what else to get Chaos gloves FoW armor destroyer gloves anything to look like the base of older players with good looks lol, the best way to solve all this is just outright delete HB asap, and the most probable thing is they will nerf SF but bring in some other skills so it isnt just a perma that does the best farming. Assassins were already overpowered PvE's with all there blocking buffs.

>implying that looks good

Protip: it doesn't. Warriors, Monks, and Eles running around with FoW armour and chaos/destroyer gloves? Ugly. Almost any armour set combined with mask of the mo zing? Ugly. For that matter, FoW armour on a warrior, monk, elementalist, ranger, or dervish; ugly. Chaos, destroyer, or indeed, ice-whatever-you-call-them gloves, all look bad on armour sets where the gloves are meant to seamlessly match the chest piece at the elbow.

The bandana seldom looks good. Some classes can pull it off - warriors and ritualists, mainly. Others, like monk - no, you look terrible, ditch the bandana. Particularly if you're a prophecies monk, it makes you look even more like a terrible hybrid of human, mouse, and pig.

Lay off the black dye. Seriously. Yes, there are some sets it looks good on. But with almost every armour set, you could get a better appearance if you took the time to test some colour combos. (Granted this presents a problem for most of these people because, as we've already realized, they have no idea what looks good, and thus would probably get something even more garishly unpleasant.)

Mask of the mo zing: yes, you like ninjas, you want to feel more like your grorious nippon anime character. No, it doesn't look good. Take it off. There are a few sets it goes well with, otherwise, you just look like an extreme weeaboo. If you're a prophecies monk, however, or indeed most any prophecies character, then do indeed please wear this, or a dread mask, or anything else that hides your incredibly ugly face. This also goes to a lesser extent to nightfall characters.

Attention Warriors: your obsidian armour looks horrid. Go get something that looks good, like elite kurzick. Attention Rangers: your obsidian armour has to be the worst of the lot. Pack it in, put it away. Get norn. Get ancient. Get primeval. Get something that doesn't look terrible.

Chaos Gloves: I've already spoken about how weird it looks when your chest armour abruptly halts at the arms, but I should also mention that Chaos Gloves take away from the overall appearance of your character in the majority of cases. At the very least make the colour match the colour of your armour, please. (Unless your armour's dyed black in which case your armour needs to be recoloured).

Uh, what else is there to bitch about...

Ritualists: monument armour looks terrible. Take it off. Necromancers: I don't know what this set is called, but the one with the massive collar looks ridiculous. Wear it if you like, but be aware that you look extremely comical. People using tonics: you're an eyesore, almost as bad as the obsidian+chaos monk clones.

Now for some advice and positive things:

Mesmers: you look good in just about every armour set and you're the one class that genuinely looks good with chaos gloves. Ritualists: most of your armour looks great, including non-elite, but please, don't mix and match it, it's not meant for that. Paragons: get obsidian; unlike many classes, the paragon obsidian armour looks wonderful.

Final complaint:

Stop pinging your weapons. No one cares about the name of your weapon, the mods on it, and that it's gold. If we did we'd ask you. The only people who care about this are other people who ping their weapons, spam /rank or /zrank, and play like utter shit.

I got quite carried away there.

His opinion means more than if a weapon is gold or purple. Opinions define people while a different coloured weapon doing the exact same thing is exactly the same and nobody can see the difference in the name.

As you tend to. Almost every single one of your posts is a lesson in pointless bias and ridiculous assertion of opinion as fact.

Some people enjoy things you don't, and while some of my tastes match your own, you'd do yourself a favour realising that you don't have the objective eye for quality!

OT. For some reason ecto's price going up and not down. While I don't think anyone would buy and neither sell ecto's to a material trader. There are and most likely will always be a lot of people buying and selling ecto's. And these people are not hard to find. And who would be stupid to buy from a trader if it would cost 50k-100k more? So what is keeping the price rising? Shouldn't overfarming something make the price drop to almost nothing and then everybody goes on to the next most valuable material?

IF SF gets nerfed, ecto's will go up even more. (duhh)

and a lot of ppl will quit playing GW, because the only thing they do now is speed clear with a perma sin.

ppl don't play anymore (can't blame them, missions have stayed the same for 4 years..) they farm.

It wouldn't surprise me if the recent wave of account thefts has something to do with ecto prices. The quickest way to process the millions upon millions of stolen gold would be to just buy ecto from the material trader.
